Welcome to the Michigan Rubber Group, Subdivision of The Rubber Division of The American Chemical Society. We have been serving the Rubber Industry in Michigan since 1978. We always welcome new members, and encourage our membership to be active in their participation.
The Michigan Rubber Group has a number of technical meetings and a Golf Outing fund-raiser and Salmon Fishing Outing fund-raiser every year. The group strongly supports the Rubber Technology Program in the College of Engineering Technology at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan, by providing scholarships for students and opportunities to attend the Rubber Expo of the Rubber Division of The American Chemical Society every fall. NEXT MEETING:

Dear MRG Friends,

We once again are pleased to invite you to join us at our annual Michigan Rubber Group Golf Outing. This year, the date is Thursday, May 30st, 2019!! The outing will take place in Lansing, MI at the Forest Akers Golf Club at Michigan State University.

Accommodations: We have booked a block of rooms at the Candlewood Suites (which is conveniently located on-site) where you are invited to confirm your rooms by personally calling and identifying yourself as a member of the MRG group. Our negotiated studio room rate is $95.00 and the one-bedroom studio is 125.00. The room block will be held for us until April 29th after which time they will be released back to the hotel.

Golf: Arrangements have been made to play the Forest Akers West Course. The price is $130.00 per person for 18 holes and a half cart. It will be a shotgun start at 9:00AM; so be at your golf cart at 8:45AM. Registration will be 7:30-8:30AM at the Golf Club. Golfers again will be playing in a scramble format for this event.

Guests / Members who just want to be at the Michigan Rubber Group outing and to get in on the excitement, your fee is $50.00 for luncheon and door prize.

Corporate Donations: We are asking for corporate donations to help offset expenses and any gift in kind received will be awarded to winners of various holes, special events or raffle prizes.

Hole Sponsorship: If you are interested in a hole sponsorship please contact golf chairs, Chuck Lenk, Jon Lytle or Tim Dickerson. The fee is $75 and will include signage at the tee with your corporate logo (if provided).

Membership: We encourage membership and respectfully ask that one person from each foursome be a member in good standing. The dues are $15.00 per year. Please include your membership dues with your registration if you are not currently a paid member of the MRG.

Lunch: Lunch will be served at the Forest Akers West Course starting at approximately 2:00PM or immediately after the conclusion of the golf. Prizes will be given out during or immediately after the luncheon.

Get your group together now and send your reservation form in early. All participants registered and paid prior to May 11th will receive a $10.00 discount per person on golf registration fees.
